Caño Cristales
Serranía de la Macarena or Caño Cristales National Natural Park is located near the municipality of the same name. This park of approximately 630,000 hectares represents one of the natural reserves with the greatest presence of four different biomes.In its jurisdiction you will find the waters of Caño Cristales, which has its source in the southern plateau of the Serranía de la Macarena and is catalogued as the most beautiful river in the world, in which nature displays all its majesty with aquatic plants that grow only in its rocky bed and gives it the varied and intense colors that distinguish it.Caño Cristales is a Colombian river located in the Macarena mountain range, in the municipality of the same name, in the department of Meta.It has been called "the river of the gods", "the river of the seven colors", "the rainbow that melted" and even "the most beautiful river in the world" because in its bottom are reproduced aquatic plants that with the exposure to the sun change their colors in a process that goes from green to an intense red, which produces the sensation of being in front of a river of six colors: red, yellow, green, black, blue and pink mainly.
